All of the units but the Whistler XTR130 comes with a laser detector as well. I've really enjoyed this brand; they definitely make quality products that lead the industry in how inexpensive they are. If the above pricing still seems too high for your budget I would suggest getting a refurbished Whistler radar detector, the prices will drop even more and the product should still work just fine.

The second brand I would like to bring to your attention is Cobra radar detectors. Once again, for those budget oriented individuals some of the lower end models such as the Cobra ESD7000, Cobra XRS-9345 and Cobra XRS-9445 that may not have as many features will still detect a good amount of passing radar and laser guns. You'll definitely be sacrificing sensitivity; so you may have just a second or two of warning instead of ten seconds but that may just be enough. I currently own a lower end Cobra XRS-9340 and I can't count how many times it's saved me at the last second.
