Cruise From the UK - Not all South Down
Dover, Southampton and Harwich seem to be the UK ports most favored starting lines cruises. But what about you poor people who do not live anywhere near these ports? Having to fly, drive or take the bus or train to get there easily can add an extra day for holidays and not everyone has the time. Oban
The Scottish islands are beautiful and what better way to explore on a cruise ship. It may be tempting to go abroad holidays, but often there is much to discover in your own backyard. Hebridean Island Cruises offer a range of cruises to the Hebrides start and end in Oban. There are too many to list here, but you can get a taste of the Hebrides in search of hard water, discover Highland and Island Treasures or find the secrets in the Western Isles to name a few. The only cruise departing from Oban that end there is summer in Orcadian, which ends in Scrabster.
Portland
If you live near Portland, why not go on a cruise with a bit of difference on the RMS St Helena Line operated by St. Helena. According to its owners, this boat is the only vessel on the high seas in the world that still retains the title of Royal Mail Ship. Like carrying passengers also supplies goods to the island of St. Helena. If you want something a little different, there are two cruises that depart from Portland and finish in Cape Town, or you can make the trip in reverse.
Hebridean Island Cruises offers a cruise, Jewels of English Heritage, which departs Portland and travels along the south coast where land Tilbury.
Scrabster
For those living in the far north of Scotland, Hebridean Island Cruises offer three cruises departing from Scabster. If you want a round trip, you can explore the North Island Orkney to Shetland. Meanwhile, he reached the north end leads to Oban, where he will end the journey, through the Orkney Islands.
